Important that whilst we welcome the news about we don't lose sight of the urgent need to reform our laws to provide fairer outcome for separating cohabitants. Graeme's work in this area is tireless.

Absolutely agree. Excellent papers and discussion with whose family law review is evidence of a clear response to aligning law effectively to changing and complex realities of family norms & their legal repercussions. England & Wales follow suit!

we need to address whether equal CP in England & Wales is enough. Scottish Law Commission are reviewing their Cohabitation Law and we should grasp the nettle and benefit from their experience of assessing economic disadvantage.

We need every patriot in London on March 23rd. CBI & TUC are right: this is a national emergency. May must go. A better deal agreed without her Faragist red lines. A referendum held on that or Remain. This right wing coup must be stopped; Tories split. Our numbers really count.

Absolutely! Glad our research showing continuing belief in common law marriage myth in British Social Attitudes Survey 2018 was referred to as it exposes flaws in assumptions of active cohabitant legal choice.

Just reading 2R debate of Lord Marks' Cohabitation Rights Bill on Friday. Almost 2 years since last debated & comments from Lexden, Deech, Chakrabarti & Northbrook show the huge mountain we still have to climb if we're to get reform. Lots of work needed.

The UK government should not apologise for reforming a gender recognition law that doesn't work for many trans individuals and lags behind international best practice. Human rights for LGBT people are not something we should have to ask or be grateful for!
