So it goes. An account I was interested in regarding spreading fake information relating to Brexit - @gregory55046341 - has disappeared. So have many other accounts they followed and followed them back. Those nasty trolls have all been deleted now Brexit is done. They worked.

I remember attending a talk and an academic mentioning how a botnet was used for a particular campaign (Brexit) and then went dormant, only to wake up speaking French for the Presidential elections. I wonder how many of these will be repurposed.

I know people who are convinced that only Trump/Brexit/AfD can save their country. They become active in every major election or public debate. These people are no bots, no trolls, no russian sock puppets, but people who seem to base their worldview on Fox News/Bild/tabloids/…
