My main takeaway from another excellent Bloc Shop Open: Julien Bourassa-Moreau and Falco Filotto are such dynamic members of the Canadian scene. I missed them at 2018 nationals, and I hope they'll be able to complete the 2019 season in full.

3. What will the rookies bring to the event? A modified scramble makes it easier to get to semis, but can Indiana Chapman hold her own in a semifinal round that's set for World Cup champions?

2. Uchida, Lazure, Karnis, and Weber are the clear favourites to finish as top Canadian. Can they fend off some of the strong QC talent who were mostly absent last season? Not making finals for any of these climbers would be a disappointing finish.

Couple things I'm watching for at Bloc Shop Open: 1. What do athletes think of the modified scramble qualifier?

Definitely considering it! But I have to pay a monthly fee to host audio podcasts, versus free hosting on YouTube. And YouTube has built-in ways for me to earn money, which don’t exist in podcasting. I don’t want to lose any listeners, so I’ll have to weight the options.

Been considering a switch to video-based content during this hiatus. The decision gets a lot easier when I nets more views in the first 24hrs than any audio podcast I ever released 🧐

Also, Canadian Boulder Ranks have been updated for the last time before WCH. Next Monday’s updates will be the last for the 2018 season.
