I didn't spot this initially as I haven't kept up with sports news in the lack of sport. While I'm pleased I'll no longer have to listen to a wife-beating racist on it's disgusting that he got to have such a long career as a voice of Cricket.

I'm afraid it's a loud Slipknot type of late working session tonight. Suggestions for next on the list welcome, though be warned I'm not really going to be listening, what with working.

I don't think I'd ever heard MIA before. That was an interesting experience, thanks.

I don't know who needed to hear this today, but please, in difficult times, remember this: Around The Fur is an *absolute banger*

I wonder if the boy has ever heard that song before? Maybe when doing karaoke on his birthday? Did anyone suggest the song was inappropriate but get waved down?

I'd be interested* in a Snape's view telling of the whole story. It would be quite a different take.

As always I'm behind on my podcasts. 23rd Jan, and I've had my first coronavirus article on BBC Inside Science with . I *really* hope that doesn't become A Thing.

I just threw a trowel full force into my toe. I don't normally bruise, but in a couple of minutes that's gone a *lovely* shade of purple...

This is before factoring in other pressures, such as disability, mental health, caring responsibilities, social isolation, technical knowledge etc

Also, the proposition of isolation is wildly different if you have enough good sized rooms to live in and a garden to play in, and if you can source decent quality food at an inflated price through home deliveries, and you have resources to keep everyone entertained.

There are really significant differences in the rate and severity of underlying health conditions between different populations. So eg poor people are more likely to get more severe complications, because they are more likely to have preexisting respiratory conditions.

Also, it's just *not true* for a few reasons.

I keep seeing the slightly shocked assertion that Coronavirus doesn't discriminate. That can only be a relevant and informative thing to say if you are surrounded by discrimination. That can only be surprising if you don't *recognise* that discrimination.

My feed is full of people soberly wishing Boris well. I haven't seen anyone gloating or joking about Boris. Maybe I follow with taste.

I *absolutely* wish Johnson a speedy recovery. I also hope he and the senior members of the Conservative party take some fundamental lessons about the NHS.

I mean, we knew that anyway because hospitals aren't in the habit of admitting people for precautionary testing 10 days after a positive test in the middle of a pandemic...

Doesn't Johnson going into ITU at 7 make it *really obvious* that Raab was lying about the situation an hour before?
