Thornton was v bad for Washington. Donuts was solid vs GS on O, but he couldn't move. Looked like he had cement shoes.

I'm not sure his offensive skill and lesser D and rebounding provides more than Baynes O/D/R, tbh. Plus his back.

I go back and forth. Thornton probably isn't as good as Bullock was. I don't think Donuts can defend PFs.

people forget how not-very-good Jimmy used to be, it's a best case not necessarily a likely case.

For this group? Yeah. Finding a star is a boon. Finding a good role player -- a reserve PG or PF? -- works too.

yeah, they aren't deviating from this group.

That would be a pretty awful worst case considering the Pistons were, what, 2ish games out of the 4-5 seed THIS season?

Best-Case: Stanley Johnson is Jimmy Butler and the Pistons are a legit contender. Worst-Case: He's not and DET plateaus as East's 4-5 seed.

I think these Pistons can be as good as the top 2-3 teams in the East were this year. I'm not sure what that means in the scheme of it all.

Interesting line of questioning. Depends on how the East grows. Feels like as long as LBJ is in CLE, they're #1.

I would assume this guarantees that SVG finishes higher in EOY voting than COY voting. Which is crazy, but also makes sense.

Damn, I'm somewhat surprised that Stan Van Gundy got zero votes for coaching the Pistons to 12 more wins than last season.

If the Pistons could somehow dupe the Kings into trading them Darren Collison.

He gets better at basketball because he's 22? And so do the other 20-somethings. And that's improvement.

in some ways. Wall is just better, but the others all have better teams around them.

Westbrook is probably loving that Reggie shot. I wonder if they'll get together and watch the Spurs and Cavs in the Finals in a few weeks?
