Bet you have not seen one of these before... Last night attended the Installation meeting of Cana Chapter No. 116 and took this picture of their “Principia” - the rules by which the Chapter could meet. The Chapter warrant is dated 12 May 1769.

Packed Festive Board. The members of L37 tell me they are the oldest Craft Lodge in the world, outside of London. Who am I to argue? Unless you know better!

Fascinating bit of history, framed on the wall at Todmorden. A document authorising the sale of Lodge of Prudence warrant, furniture and possessions in 1847 from West to East Lancashire.

Always a unique installation at Bolton School. How many alumni lodges do you have in your province and do they still limit membership? (Old Bolts don't for example)

Always sad when a lodge closes but memories are forever and I'm sure the Brethren will continue in Freemasonry in another lodge.

Today was the Provincial carol service at St. Ann's, Manchester. A superb attendance from brethren / companions and the event was enjoyed by all. Special thanks to the choristers of Manchester Cathedral under the direction of Christopher Stokes.
