I was going to say "but they could not prove that it was you that died - except heartbeats and such are supposed to be identifiable too, so I guess they could. Hard to prove whether you stayed dead though…

Did a bit of digging on this. Turns out Apple’s official policy is not a particularly friendly one. 😐

That's what Apple suggested in my initial bug report. But that does not honour the 24 hour setting (or presumably any other date/time configuration settings made by the user). At least it gets the language right, but the 24 hour preference is kind of important.

Sure. Ping me if I forget, but I'll make a note to let you know if I find anything out.

I've had then bounce back my DTS incident on a number of occasions. But we'll see. I rarely use them, really I should use them more often, they can be a great resource.

I think I'll try a DTS support incident and see if I can get any results that way. I never use my DTS incidents, and they have worked well in the past (well, sometimes it is just “cant be done”, and this may well be one of them).

Keyboard Maestro cannot be the only application that want's to use a user-localised time without being localized in every language… Maybe I am missing something, but I can't figure it out.

As far as I can tell, no. NSLocale currentLocale returns english (if you are localized in english) regardless of the user language. And there does not appear to be any way to read the 24 hour setting, or even just change a date formatter to a specific 24 hour setting.

Maybe the answer is just to have an empty localisation folder in every possible language - how insane would that be?

So basically there is no way an OSX application in 10.14 can display the time according to the user’s settings unless it is localised in the user’s language? That is severely messed up.

Perhaps we should stop grouping people and look at people as individuals?

It's almost as if the government should be spending more and not aiming for a pointless “surplus”.

Non-spoiler notice for Endgame: there is no post credit scenes, so once the credits start rolling, it is safe to leave.

Given that the article says Apple says “it doesn't use facial recognition technology in its stores” and that seems a fairly clear cut statement, it sounds like most of it is BS. But I could be wrong.

Good. Some of your ads are needlessly crass. I support , but sometimes your ads look like they were made by petulant children.

In Apple’s ideal world where you have to beg them for permission to do anything innovative, Dropbox wouldn’t have existed (hacked into Finder to work). Things like Backblaze couldn’t exist (full file system access). Chrome couldn’t exist. Unity3D, Unreal Engine, etc…
