Better would be "Caps Lock Key: Hyper (⌘⌥⇧⌃)" but unfortunately we need Karabiner Elements to make that happen.

Borrow something from them. That is my recommendation for meeting your neighbours. Borrow a cup of sugar, or an egg or something. Then they feel like they can ask you the same. Its good having good relations with your neighbours.

Yes, I hit that, then approved the contracts, then it still didn't work until I approved some other contracts. What a flipping pain! And two minutes to notarise so I can run a test build on my test Mac is a further pain.

Sorry, but advocating for better funding for welfare, hospitals, education and renewable energy, funded by higher taxes on the most wealthy in our society is absolutely a preference I will “lump” on everyone.

I'm happy to smile and not give out tax cuts. We should be raising taxes, not cutting them, especially at the high end. Bring back 70% tax rates at the top end (which would include me - and I would happily pay it). Then use the money to fund education, medical and renewables.

‘it is now clear that the planet simply cannot afford ...Fossil subsidies ..they are a significant drain on national budgets. Global fossil fuel subsidies cost about US$ 400 billion. Imagine if these public resources were directed to climate action.’

And specifically, yes, you can add hot keys in Keyboard Maestro to open selected files in the Finder into specific applications.

Yes, I was a DragThing user for many many years. When it was clear James was (quite rightly) concentrating on PCalc, I started adding DT-like features to Keyboard Maestro. While KM definitely does not have the breadth of DT dock features, it should be able to do most DT things.

All signs point to a weakening economy, with the jobs and wages of everyday folk at risk. Yet there’s still bipartisan consensus on a budget surplus that’ll only shrink the economy, and the government’s only fix is trickledown tax cuts for the rich 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♀️

You could do the processing on the server, and create meta data that contains the gaps to skip, and only serve that from your server, serve the original from the origin. Probably wouldn't work with dynamic ads tho, or any other changes.

I've only seen the first episode of this season, and half way thru I paused it and noticed it still had half and hour to go and I nearly fell out of my chair. WTF? It's finished. The story is done what more is left? Answer: basically nothing.

I do, it's just how we were taught a zillion years ago — gives a bit of extra space between paragraphs. Arguments that proportional fonts make it unnecessary are bogus since it is also used in 3.14 so it doesn’t have built in gap. Plus it is an extra char to del in long tweets.

Today is the launch of Crikey's new inquiry journalism initiative, INQ, and I guess after keeping it under my hat for a few months I can now say I'm part of this really exciting and important project with a top team of people :)

The number of physicians in the United States grew 150 percent between 1975 and 2010, roughly in keeping with population growth, while the number of healthcare administrators increased 3,200 percent for the same time period.

I tried a lot of things to mitigate it, but I never found anything that helped. For example, CFPreferences would be related on a percentage of the crashes, which was not something I could avoid. I'm just glad it is fixed in 10.14!
