Old jgarzik: Soft forks are bad because they trick clients. (they don't) New jgarzik: Lite clients shouldn't be able to detect segwit2x HF.

segwit2x's lack of a hard-fork bit and replay protection creates a high risk of users getting defrauded, both HF supporters and not.

This is even worse than the ETH/ETC fork actually, as in addition to replay attacks, you also have lite clients accepting the wrong chain.
