Seeing Laura locked outside that hospital is so horrible for me. But those images are also what might inspire hospitals across the country to NEVER let this happen to anyone again. My thanks to for sharing that message

We take life for granted but it's really so fragile. It's what I hope people take away from reading . It's what I hope drives the state Legislature to pass Laura's Law to improve emergency-room access for all.

Stroke & heart-attack victims need Laura's Law to pass, they testified yesterday. So do people with disabilities, and asthma - and really, all of us. Amazing support at the Mass State House from many important advocates. I was just one part of the story

Asthma awareness, Laura's anniversary, and now legislation. Today we present "Laura's Law" before the Joint Committee on Public Health. It would allow the state to finally regulate ER signage, lighting, wayfinding & security. Without standards, Laura's gone. 💜

Peak Week is ending, but ragweed season lasts into October. So I'll leave you with this video, in case you missed it earlier bc of a thread glitch. Asthma is dangerous EVERY day of the year. Tell someone when you have an attack. If not for you, then for Laura. Keep sharing 💜

What a terrible story. I want to take the opportunity to point out that ragweed here in central EU is known as Ambrosia, one of the most allergenic plants, which needs to be reported to the authorities for removal from public places. Thanks for sharing this.

I had no idea this existed. Kids suffer from allergies and I’ve had asthma my whole life. I’ve Definitely been worse this fall than in the past and now I know to be on alert this week. Thanks for sharing!

Thank you for raising awareness. I have asthma and my 2 kids do too. Never really thought about it, but totally makes sense to me. Back in 1983, I was diagnosed with asthma during/around peak week. Today, my asthmatic son is home sick. Ragweed is intense.

I had no idea and had my first attack in months just last weekend (first major encounter with cigarette smoke since moving to Colorado). Multiple inhalers are so necessary, I’ve got one in my every day bag and one in my hiking bag.
