Does it have effects that are relevant to other possible goals?

I don't know if it was objectively the biggest, but I was shocked when I learned about McCarthyism.

1) Take it as an opportunity to learn about yourself/your fears. Feel it in your body, see where your imagination goes, notice what you're resisting.
Or
2) Use the energy to read and think generally about pandemics, disaster-preparedness, viruses, or whatever seems interesting.

The meta-frame that's working for me lately is to resolve most paradoxes by saying "it's always both".
Every situation has a past, which you can't change, and a future, which you can.

Caesar is definitely more famous in the United States and probably in Europe. My bet was that Genghis Khan is more famous in e.g. China, given things like the Yuan dynasty. Definitely don't have the global cultural knowledge to feel confident, though!

Hard to judge since I don't know much about who's famous in Asia. I voted Genghis Khan since his geographical range was largest.

I only have one friend by this definition, and he's white, so...

Cleancut, polished, well-tailored. Waaaay too much work, especially since that only feels like an authentic expression some of the time.

Learning how to dance hasn't helped me enjoy or be good at dancing. Body work has.

The world is top-down and “spooky” rather than bottom-up and simplistically materialist. Demons are real.

Or to put it in more mythic terms:
Imagine what would happen if you walked out your front door right now and Actually Were Christ for 24 hours. Doesn't really matter what you did before that.

I think one piece of the proximate cause is that humans have an almost infinite set of opportunities to exercise power, in large and ways. The wiser you are, the better you are at seeing those opportunities and acting wisely with them. Opportunities are rarely the bottleneck.

I'm going to go with Fae. In the old, mean sense.
Demon works pretty well too, though.

I don't like messing with the format of the creative work I consume. If they wanted it to be faster, they'd make it faster!

My favorite quote on this, though I can't recall the source:
"Eventually you'll have to let go of of even the desire for enlightenment. But not too soon."

This feels obvious so you've probably taken it into account, but just in case:
In my experience muscle tension usually means there's emotions/prana I'm blocking. I'm worried from this description that you're storing your "dark night" in the body and it'll all come out one day.

I voted neither, because I don't think "rights" are a very useful moral frame (though they're useful for politics).
I think the JC laws were wrong because they embodied cruelty and disdain, and led to suffering.
