you can read all about the sad story of my US major label experience & the horror that was the 'Adorable - The Band You Love To Hate' t-shirt here

Old band t-shirts - here is a tshirt from my band Adorable that in their infinite wisdom my US label decided to print without discussing with us and give out as promos. You can guess our reaction to it! Currently going on eBay for $350

Alan McGhee bought into the idea for us for a while, but the rest of the staff were (at best) sceptical, & it was pretty obvious to us. Alan had a breakdown relatively early on in our time there and went missing in action, so we were left without an ally at the label,

When you you get single of the week in with your debut single with a review that says "the guitars wonder off on the most casually classic workouts since Factory-era Railway Children..." - that's the point you realise things can get no better ;) It was downhill from then on

as anitdote to previous tweet, It was who gave Adorable our break - putting us on the 'On For 92' showcase gig at The Venue in London along with PJ Harvey & Suede which led to us getting signed to . we did a couple of NME singles of the week along the way

Hi Ben. yup - we have a large storage facility where we keep backups of all t-shirts and merchandise from 25 years ago. I'll get the guys at the Adorable warehouse to check in the morning.

Adorable's review for our second album said the band "drenching us with tawdry non-songs and dashed promises that are anodyne and limp-wristed". That's what I hated about the NME - the language so obtuse, you could never tell if they liked it or not.

Little known facts : Before he became the Gothfather, Nick Cave used to work as a stockbroker

I seem to this interview descending into a drunken farce with Nick Cave (who looks a bit of a yuppie on the front) being the soberest ,a and a bit confused by it all!
