They managed to break a solid pewter object that was in a bubble wrapped filled box inside a bubble wrapped parcel. Their insurance payout was fairly quick but little consolation to the person we sent it to.

Vindolanda Trust Nov 26
Sadly as a result of Northumberland being under Tier 3 restrictions we cannot open our museum next week. We will however be able to open the Vindolanda archaeological site and our gardens from Thursday 3rd December and welcome those who can visit from our local area.
