I so enjoy reading great philosophy, poetry, or mysticism. I need it sometimes to not feel like an idiot. How we are made to feel sometimes-.. because the highest office in the land- wants to gather in as many votes as they can from simple men and woman who they turn into idiots.

Amsterdam’s “The Provos” (stands for provocation) created forbidden demonstrations, provocative exhibitions, and happenings. Condemning the Viet Nam War- they were imitated by John and Yoko when they staged their “Bed In”, and created the environmentally sound “White Bike Plan”.

Kind Heaven Orchestra has a show tonight in Amsterdam . One of the more artistic cities in the world. From Van Gogh’s painting to Sonia Gaskell’s dance; art is like drinking a silky glass of milk. It makes everything you do in a day- go down easier..

We are spiritually ill. Weakness of spirit allows the inner Amalek to attack our better judgment.. It defies logic- erases all sense of decency, insists on loyalty, dictates and draws out our worst instincts....We must strengthen the intrinsic threads that tie us all to Heaven..

Joe, Do you have any pics from that tour? (Joe was our drum back line for many of the Jane’s tours). We did not have cell phones with cameras in those days.. Perk at times had a video camera- wonder if he had it with him back in ‘88? How are you Joe?! Kind Heaven is in Amsterdam.

Playing The Ramones Museum in Berlin yesterday gave me a chance to reminisce about Jane’s Addiction’s 1988 tour with them. It was De De’s birthday- and we were all staying at The Holiday Inn. His only friend that night- I bought him a pizza and lit off fireworks from the balcony.

The Amalekites were a nation that waged war against the Jewish people as they moved thru the desert toward Israel. We use Amalek as an analogy to describe the fighting within our troubled mind. Amalek attacks via the intellect. Ignoring our commitment to god and better judgment.

Mr. President, We heard you on the news accusing our congresswomen of being hateful towards the United States and Israel. Please don’t speak for us. Your hateful actions today are reminiscent of Lodz, Poland, 1942, when Jewish children were parted from their mothers. Never again.

Tablet, You have a way with words.... Everyone please note I did not use the term “dead” ever about my mother. Why? I suppose I don’t consider her “dead”. Her soul may be weary, but- is very much alive...

Voegelin's pejorative phrase for utopians who try to take the place of God in bringing about this final stage is askew: Immanetizing the eschaton is an articulate description of man’s true purpose. Taking direction, and actively fulfilling the divine plan.... (Yes, count us in.)

You may have come up with the rally cry of the millennium dear Nick “Immanentize the Eschaton! That’s something we can get behind!” There, I’ve begun to write a song. “If heaven really does come down- no one should be surprised” “Coming to the end of-the end times”...

Yes Nick, I followed your tweet up w google. Immanentize the eschaton.. Fascinating phrase. Have been trying to remember it all night. When did you first hear of it? Aligned with my beliefs. That we are actively bringing about the end times of a dark period in man kind’s history.
