But ultimately it is something that happens to half of the population so all health care professionals should have an understanding of it. It shouldn't be something that is only treated by female GPs

Not trying to offside GPs at all, but the experiences a lot if women are having are awful. I have set up my website so there is a place where women can find information on because so many are being dismissed. And yes, I have doctors on board.

The patient was female and presenting with menopause symptoms. The head GP of the practice said he couldn't treat her because he was male. I can't remember who tweeted it originally, I'm afraid.

Or I can't possibly treat your child because I'm an adult!

It's scary when you don't know what the symptoms are a part of. So many women google early onset dementia, before realising it's their hormones playing up

I had about 6 months of asking at 1am pretty much every night and only finally dropping off again after 4am. Went through so many books. Now I sleep better, but still often wake about 4/5am and struggle to get back to sleep.

I saw someone tweet the other day that they'd been told the head GP at their surgery had said he couldn't help with menopause because he was male. I mean that's just appalling
