If you don't mind me bugging you, I had a question about doing EP online: how do you handle signings/notarization without the clients/notaries messing it all up?

Reviews for sure. I'd start with contacting any past clients that are friends, any family you've ever helped with even a minor legal issue, etc. Lean on them to leave a positive review.

I'd love to hear about those training programs. I figured folks have done this before, but I did not know there were programs to help. Estate planning is pretty new to me so I'll take any help I can get.

I hear you. I was searching for a practice area that required zero in-court time but was also consumer-targeted. Nearly all of my practice will be hopefully entirely online.

That’d be great! Thanks! I have to focus on getting my bar licenses straightened out but I’m going to be pursuing this seriously starting next month, when we have childcare for our newborn as well.

Yeah, I did family before our move to New York last year. I can’t imagine trying to practice that at a distance, though I imagine uncontested or mediated divorces would be a fabulous fit.

That’s amazing! I may be on the same path soon, pivoting into estate planning online since I need to be portable for Dr. Mrs. Peacock who is doing her residency. Lots of tech and automation will be put to the test. :-)

Mind blown. One of my favorites, Alex Smith, was traded to Washington. And yet, I'm not mad/sad. Chiefs got an insane haul for a guy his age (3rd rounder and a GREAT, YOUNG, CHEAP CB) and sent him to a team that is paying him $23mil/yr. Win-win.

OTOH. Easier accounting for lawyers. Or web marketing dashboard that pulls in SEO, social, etc and combines w CRM, call tracking, email campaigns. Latter is three or four tools now, steep learning curve.

Why are there so many legal startups trying to create yet another practice management platform? Don't we have enough already? Clio, MyCase, FirmCentral, PracticePanther, RocketMatter.. Solve a different problem, I beg you. And stop LinkedIn-ing me to try your platform. I'm good.
