Apple copycatting apps literally has a name. It’s called “Sherlocking”.

I think we'll probably see a consolidation of some of the 3rd tier streaming services like Sony (Crackle), Lionsgate (Starz), Fox Corporation (Tubi), AMC, and MGM (EpixNow). It just seems like there are too many apps out there right now besides the big ones.

We need a Drizly concept for local breweries where you’re not just buying from liquor stores. Growlers, crowlers, and flights. Even just straight cans and bottles - cut out the middleman. For quality alcohol it would work.

Prediction: Apple is developing a more powerful chip than the developer device they're releasing in order to handle USB4. USB4 will replace TB3 through backwards compatibility and allow for eGPUs that can support their Pro line of monitors.

Apple should have let the Apple Watch General Magic dude present the writing recognition on the iPad. Then we would have gone full circle Newton.

friendly reminder in times of uncertainty and misinformation: anecdotes are not data. (good) data is carefully measured and collected information based on a range of subject-dependent factors, including, but not limited to, controlled variables, meta-analysis, and randomization

I hear a lot of “What is the lowest you can go?” in selling things online. This tactic has a 0% effectiveness rate, because I don’t negotiate against myself. Please come up with something more original. Thanks.

The meme of “learn to code” has been around for the past few years. Even if someone learns to code, is that really going to ensure them another job? I’ve coded off and on over the past 10 years (check my Github), and I would say that it is extremely competitive out there.

There is untapped potential in the life of Jim Corbett for movies. He took down man-eating jungle cats that were responsible for the deaths of 1,200 people. The stories he wrote are riveting. Yet he deeply respected the animals that he hunted and was a conservationist.

Recipes on random websites need to get to the point: “We love making cookies in our household around this time of year. Did you know? Cookies were invented in 7th Century Persia. However, in this modern day version...”

Not at WWDC to see what Apple does with HomeKit. They have a lot of opportunity here to listen to their user base and make some great changes. Excited to see the results.

There’s a glitch on my Spotify that happens a few times a week. Every other song is by Rick James when my song library is set to random. I don’t know what could lead to this.

Finally offloaded my Homebridge code from my MacBook Pro to a Raspberry Pi. I can now bring the MBP places without disrupting the smart home! Some other limitations, but they don’t really matter all that much. Setup was not too difficult as well.
