An excellent shout, with my particular favourite portrayal of Christopher Lee's being Lord Summerisle, in the original version of The Wicker Man, and not solely for that lovely mustard yellow jumper.

A perfect villain should leave us poised between loving and loathing, being drawn as much as we are repelled, which makes Francis Urquhart (House of Cards), a good choice, but, another who walks that line is Arthur Burns, in The Proposition, as played by Danny Huston. Superb.
