Me: If a friend asked how to get rich, what would you tell them?
6 yo: Do something nobody else has done. Don't copy ideas. And make something lots of people actually want.

Yeah, that's a verbatim quote. Startups are a constant topic of conversation in our household. I was curious how much had penetrated.

Research suggests that the simplest way to become extremely rich is by being born to the right parents

actually, clever entrepreneurs are often "quick to copy", or "jump on the bandwagon". When the craze is over, jump on the next bandwagon - I'm jealous of these guys because my ethical compass & idealism prevents me from doing that.

Indoctrination success!
But it's one thing to understand the theory and quite another to put it into practice...

Expected value? Work toward a high pay career such as tier 1 software dev at Google. Improve yourself & gain experience. Selectively challenge yourself by changing corps for more senior roles. Save like crazy, live simply & invest in low fee market index funds. Avoid startups.
