Patriots coaching brain drain in '20 cannot be understated. Outside of Fears (RBs, '02), McDaniels (OC, '12), and Steve Belichick (~DC, '16), only Caley (TEs, '17) will have been coaching their full position for longer than 3 seasons. Everyone else promoted or joined since '18.

News of Dante Scarnecchia's retirement are not even 24 hours old but already has six articles and two podcast episodes on him online. In my humble opinion, I think it is hard to find a more comprehensive breakdown anywhere else.

A name to keep in mind as the continue to shape their coaching staff is former special teams coach Scott O'Brien. There have been discussions to bring O'Brien back. He retired from on field work back in February of 2015 but has done some area scouting for the team.

The people in this business make it so rewarding. Scar will always be one of the best — on the field and off. He learned your name, was honest, always had a good day. He’d also hate all this attention, but he deserves to be celebrated for all he’s done. Congrats to a legend!
