Most teams don’t practice Mondays or Tuesdays, so players aren’t in the building as much anyway. Everyone is still tested every day. Based on the incubation period, keeping facilities closed those days could catch many new infections from the holiday.

The NFL informed clubs all in-person team activities will be prohibited this coming Monday and Tuesday — a mitigation measure in light of rising COVID-19 positivity rates across the country and many players and staff having guests for Thanksgiving. The ban doesn’t include games.

Brief peek at Patriots practice: 🏈 LT Isaiah Wynn (knee) not spotted for 3rd straight day. Highly unlikely to play Sunday. 🏈 DTs Carl Davis (concussion) and Byron Cowart (back) not spotted. Would be big hole. Quick call-up for Akeem Spence? 🏈 PS TE Jake Burt remains absent.

If game checks were taken away from players due to a forfeit... Ravens players would lose a collective $7,211,836, while Steelers players would lose a collective $5,563,861. Nearly $13M combined 😳😳

In 2017, Carson Wentz looked like he'd be an MVP candidate for the next decade. In 2020, he's performed like one of the league's worst QBs. What happened? Promoting this again for The Athletic's $1/month Black Friday sale - available through link.

NFL surely has to find a solution to at least the 'innocent' team losing their gamecheck if this happens?

The question of whether players would be paid for a forfeited game is unresolved. NFL would say no, NFLPA would say yes. The situation was not covered by the agreement reached in July.
