I tell guests before recording that episodes which are 1) longer and 2) wonkier get more listens. It’s counterintuitive but almost always true.
This has quickly proven to be among the most popular episodes during its 1st week because @chetanp knows his domain as deeply as anyone twitter.com/bwertz/status/…

Curious how you define ‘wonkier’ in this instance?

I don’t think I seen any of your pod episode get shared as much as this one from outside of my usual graph. Tons of people I don’t know or follow have shared it and it’s popping up in my feed due to second order connections

Ya I’ve seen the same. Good old fashioned WoM, as I don’t see it having been shared anywhere like Reddit or Hacker News (which would be common amplifiers)

As a fan of the podcast I can vouch for that. The wonkier and the nerdier the better.

I’d say your podcast hiatus probably had something to do with it as well. (ie. ppl waiting for new content to digest, having had time to exhaust their queued content stockpile.) But I enjoyed it nonetheless, as always. 🙂👍
