This should have been Bloomberg’s Super Bowl ad.

JONI ERNST: We can't impeach Trump because ELECTIONS. Also JONI ERNST: If America elects Joe Biden, we're impeaching his ass IMMEDIATELY. When can we stop pretending the GOP believes in anything?

It’s enormously important that the country understand exactly what the President did. When he sought to coerce an ally into helping him cheat in the next election. And that he’s at it still. We have proved our case. The Senate should find him guilty, and remove him from office.

Pro Tip: You can't be moved off the voter rolls once you hit the 90-day mark before an election (ie primary, runoff, general). So check your registration on the 89th day, screenshot it so you've got proof & you're all set to vote.

MINI-THREAD on new bot tactics. 1). The latest strategy from Russian Intelligence is to create thousands and thousands of “Resistance” accounts. These phony Twitter scamps then foller legitimate Democrat accounts in hopes of bein’ follered back.

Senators should have insisted on a fair trial with documents and witnesses. They chose not to. Some argue, let the election decide — But that argument is unpersuasive when the President is trying to cheat in 2020.

NEW: Taxpayers shelled out another $3.4 million to send President Trump to Florida this weekend so he could host a Super Bowl party for paying guests at his for-profit golf course.

If you care about health care, the environment, gun safety, our standing in the world, there is only one priority: Ridding US of the Criminal in the WH. There can be no division amongst Dems. Whoever gets the nom, we all have to go all in. No Protest Votes!

An epitaph for the Republican Party in the time of Trump. “The Party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command.” — George Orwell

Something I don’t care about in a year Donald Trump is on the ballot: who is right in the endless recriminations between Sanders and Clinton supporters. Just knock it off, people, and keep your eyes on the prize.

Not presumably forever; not perhaps for a day after Nov. 3, 2020; not on every issue or in every way until then. But for the time being one has to say: We are all Democrats now.

Some consequences if Trump is acquitted: —Congress loses power to check president —Foreign backing of presidential candidates normalized —Presidential use of tax dollars for personal gain normalized —President is effectively above the law —Attacks on US democracy grow

Congress needs to hear (*under oath*) from the people who were on the calls between Trump and Erdogan in *December 2018 and October 2019*, as well as *John Bolton and Bill Barr*, who both *know* Trump was negotiating quid pro quos with Turkey as he betrayed U.S. troops in Syria.

So, are you saying : It’s okay for a president to use our tax dollars to bribe a foreign head of state to manufacture dirt on a political opponent. Or is it just anything the corrupt Republican Party wants to do to win elections is okay?
