If Murphy played like Saint Max did today he wouldn’t play another game in black and white shirt. Think fans give him hard time, especially as a boyhood fan

Such a huge rivalry behind two teams usually means it ends up being niggly and emotions override composure and quality. Well this game absolutely makes a myth out of that. Lots of goals. Lots of worldies. more and playing their part 🚀🚀

Some quality young players from this team. Best shot stopping keeper I’ve seen in non league I think and management making them play the right way. Will come good for sure.

Unbeaten streak ends today as we lose 5-0 to a quality side. Although our squad was thin, no excuses we lost to a great side with bags of quality. We goa again next week. 🐝🐝

Don’t like to be just negative or outline the bad things sorry if came across that way. Of course making one pop sim and sharing with 10 guys and getting 10 sims etc way more effective etc etc etc

Is actually struggling mentally regards to dealing with the variance and struggles of poker, then a new community may be the worst place for them to be. Especially if the group is toxic. They go from trying to deal with it to just moaning about it. Anyway...

Of course though this is just human incapability to deal with variance, community gives also so much positives too, but I feel that we, as a poker community, only focus on the positives. Somebody is having a bad time they’re told “join a community!” When in reality if somebody

You often get yourself in a place where the harder you work the tougher it is from a mental POV to accept the results. If you work alone you can often just plod along without the daily graph/screenshot/blog etc reminders that somebody is having a run they (and you!)don’t deserve

You just end up taking this bitter, self censored approach. I’ve been playing poker for 13-14 years and I think for 7+ years I struggled deeply with this. Especially in a community where hierarchy is crucial or where you want to outwork the rest of the competition.

People that you work identically as hard as/with but the gods (in this sense poker gods) giving them a different run of luck. You “know” they didn’t do anything to justify running better than you. And instead of thinking about the 3rd guy in the group who is 5x below expectation

From as honest a place as possible. I’ve had times where I’ve ran 2x over expectation in terms of EV and still been negative about the guy I work closely with who is 5x over expectation. “WOW how does he get that lucky??” I feel like it’s very tough thing to manage being around

Enjoyed that lads. Good discussion and Matt was mostly accurate in his assumption of what I meant.

It feels to me like all the games that are getting popular like chess/video games have an Elo style scoring which brings high win %z I think getting closer to that in poker is probably important yet extremely tough

Now.. if you’re an amateur player who is breakeven and plays 100 games a month how many losing months would you have out of those 120? Is that a problem?

The usually toxicity isn’t on a severe level, but on a constant high volume level which because it’s so frequent as soon as misfortune happens is easy to fall into negativity rather than self development. I could be completely wrong, just how I see it.

That’s what the toxic guys would like! Unfortunately for them I’m still fedors biggest fan. Only love.

You play 300 tournaments a month, with average of 15% roi and average field size of 500 with abi 100. You play professionally for 10 years. According to variance how many (out of 120) months are losing months

This is basically exactly what I meant 😂 toxicity, or spreading toxicity when somebody gives an opinion. The fear of saying something or having an opinion incase the clever kid says not sure if serious. In almost every community I’ve seen there’s always been big negativity
