GOP says people need their AR-15s to take care of "racoons," "foxes," that go after people's chickens.

ACTUALLY: "These weapons — AR-15 and similar weapons — are not for sporting purposes. You don't take them hunting because they're meant to tear bodies apart. They tear up the meat"- Col Ralph Peters, a conservative

Nope. A .22 rifle will do it. Or a 4-10 shotgun with shot loaded, if you suck at aiming. (I am not advocating for shooting raccoons and foxes, btw.)

When we women only need a .22 to do what takes an AR-15 for a man to do. There’s a joke in there but it’s sad.

Mr. Buck my uncle takes care of coyotes and raccoons on his farm with a single shot .22 just fine. If you need an AR-15 to shoot a 20 lb. raccoon, you’re doing it wrong. 🙄

- - - 12 gauge shotgun covers everything from rattlesnakes to Kodiak Bears. Assault weapons are for killing people. Civilians don't need them, period.

Before AR-15s came onto the civilian markets, were farmers or rural residents over-run with racoons and foxes? Or, were they able to keep them at bay with hunting rifles, shotguns, etc?

Anyone that needs an AR-15 to deal with raccoons or foxes shouldn't have access to an AR-15.

I have lots of family and friends who are his constituents and who do use rifles to kill farmland pests and predators. Bolt action single load .22s and shotguns, not semi automatic ARs and AKs.

Exactly. Nobody with any sense would use an AR or AK for that purpose- it’d tear up the chicken coop, fence, turf, and anything behind the animal while creating a big mess from the animal. Wrong tool for the job.

There is something wrong with the raccoons and foxes in his district. Are the foxes and raccoons wild hog sized???
