So you really can't buy yourself out of that mess, huh?

I haven't tried or considered it. In WebCheck you need to make queries in your specs for the states that are observed. Not sure how that would work with the accessibility tree, as that's not something you work with directly (I guess!)

Might be so. I have zero interest in hand-picking apps like that, it's just something I want to work OK out of the box. Which is probably why I shouldn't run NixOS.

So it turns out that stole the name Quickström from a reputable hard-working real estate agency. Back to the drawing board, I guess.

Yeah. I have done the nixops thing before. Didn't like it much. I'll probably do docker images for deployment in the future. But I agree with delaying the switch nixos as a dev machine OS. I might never switch, and I'm currently leaning towards staying on Ubuntu.

And I'm open to be convinced of it's direct utility or how it's ideas transfer well into more well-integrated or "mainstream" environments.

This is of course very personal. I know some who love J and APL, maybe for their beauty, and I totally respect that.

I'd say J in that case? But maybe that's what you'd pick up. Personally I'm not that interested. If I find spare time to study a new language it's definitely TLA+, Alloy, or Z3. J/APL seem fun but I'm yet to be convinced of insight that can be transferred to other contexts.

I very much do not. And I fully agree, while firmly attached to the floor laughing.

No, I was thinking about settings apps for screens and such that are bundled with Ubuntu and Gnome.

This is one thing I'm trying to solve in . Not available yet, though. And I'm not sure if or how other browser testing tools manage it. Raw WebDriver or puppeteer should not be a problem, if you'd be into that sort of thing.
