It was a transcendent evening with and Nordic Voices at tonight. They performed choral pieces titled “Still in Silence” and “The Bee Madrigals,” a large-scale composition exploring bee colony collapse. Beautiful, emotional and societally-relevant work.

Mathias Eick and Kind of Blue? Oh yes. Amazing. Truly. The gentleman sitting next to me said it was the best night of his life, ever.

Foto: Matija Puzar

I’ve been listening to and Jan Bang for 20 years. It was mind-blowing to finally see them perform at tonight. Together with drummer Anders Engen, they explored ambient textures, live looping, live processing, shifting rhythms, and creative sound design.

[OSLO JAZZ FESTIVAL] Music is the pleasure of ignoring what awaits you at the turn, the magic of finding the moment of perfect intensity. Bilayer : Hilde Marie Holsen and Magnus Bugge mesmerized the audience of Sentralen.

Wow, just saw an amazing, astonishing show by Marilyn Mazur’s Shamania at . A stunning, percussive, super-high energy gig by one of the world’s master percussionists. They have a very fine new album on very much worthy of your investigation.
