This is a pretty solid bet, I was wondering the same thing earlier when I saw the new @code JS debugger using wasm for content hashing ( github.com/microsoft/vsco… )

+1 you got this
I’ve been working on my weight this year
( my fav resource is en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Why_We_Ge… off chance you haven’t seen it, and this was a good recent agreement on it : youtube.com/watch?v=z-onXp… watched it last night)

1. In a way, typescript has both easy mode and hard mode (called strict) - easy is less validation code and more trust on the world. Types for tools.
2. All unofficial type definitions are OSS on github.com/definitelytype… - in the top 10 most active repos on github

downlevel-dts now converts #private fields into name-mangled normal privates.
downlevel-dts now supports all the new 3.8 features, so try it out and let me know if it works for you!

And it’s not shippable till it’s doc’d
- Playground w/ plugins: typescript-v2-204.ortam.now.sh/en/play
- Overview: typescript-v2-204.ortam.now.sh/dev/playground…
- Plugin Template: github.com/microsoft/Type…
- Tech overview for plugins: github.com/microsoft/Type…
Just needs a polish pass tomorrow.

Just got to:
- Make it pretty
- Add some settings
- Add support for getting markdown from a gist

So now it:
- Has a plugin for showing slides
- This sits above the playground and you can scroll between slides + code
- Controlled by a markdown file
- Any slide can set the text in the playground pic.twitter.com/4Mj1QeyGAr

They’re still anchors when you have JavaScript disabled - but when you do, they do the pre-fetching
So there is the gatsby layer on top which does some magic, but I try avoid any myself

I’ve started building out the @typescript v3 playground to have a dev environment for creating playground plugins ( my WIP plugin is a mix of mdx-deck + playground, see it in tab list)
It’s a single tick box to start working with the template I’ll ship. pic.twitter.com/huhTMW9D8b

Flow’s tooling support has always been a bit weak generally (different priorities between teams) it’s why artsy moved to TS 4 years ago
But generally stuff like:
- reddit.com/r/typescript/c…
- github.com/orta/typescrip…
- neugierig.org/software/blog/…

I liked @reactnative for this because it forced supporting this on us, whereas with normal native dev you have to go out of your way to support dynamic text
