Rupert Everett gave a private viewing last night of his new film “The Happy Prince “. It was just wonderful, I laughed and cried through out, it’s a masterpiece about the great writer Oscar Wilde. How as a country we could have subjected him to 2 years hard labour is beyond me.

Alfred Molina is back in the West End in Red at the Wyndham Theatre, and he’s sensational as is the other Alfred, Alfred Enoch. They play brilliantly together in John Logan’s wonderful play about Mark Rothko the dark artist. Michael Grandage directs superbly. Go immediately.

Some truly lovely casting choices in A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC at Chester’s : the best Madame Armfeldt I’ve ever seen from Gay Soper, infinitely wise & knowing; an acutely touching Henrik from Richard Lounds (who plays cello too!), a hilarious Count from Katie Ushe.

What a fiasco Eurovision is, as a country we should never enter again. Europe obviously hated us. If we had Adele singing one of her greatest hits we would come last. It’s a joke. However we all had huge fun at the Ivy Club xxxxx See you all next year. Xxxxx

day and a good time to big up my brother-in-law John, who is running 88 miles to raise money for the Glasgow Association of Mental Health. A fantastic cause, so if you can, please do...

Inheritance at the Young Vic is astonishing. The writer Matthew Lopez has written the best play of the year. I laughed and cried and can’t wait to see the 2nd part on Friday. The cast, direction and design are something else. Thankfully it’s going to the West End so go go go go.

We all said a fond goodbye to our darling mother Pam. A large crowd met at Salisbury Crematorium to pay their respects to a very special lady. Peter Delaney officiated sublimely, the Biggins’s spoke wonderfully as did Neil Sinclair. I cried when mum came into Mammy by Al Jonson

Sat next to Cherida Langford tonight at the first night of Strictly Ballroom at the Piccadilly Theatre. Her daughter Zizi was sensational as was Jonny Labey. Will Young and Eve Polycarpou were brilliant. Yet another West End musical to hit London, what a company. Good luck to you

I support the targetted air strikes by the UK, US and France against the Syrian regime's chemical weapons facilities. As the head of NATO has stated this morning, the use of chemical weapons is unacceptable and those responsible must be held accountable.
