We are proud to honor the memory of Oklahoma basketball legend Wayman Tisdale, who died 10 years ago today (May 15, 2009). On April 7 of that same year we presented him with a Thunder Devon Community Hero Award. Wayman’s spirit, courage and smile remain an inspiration to us all.

Presti: “We’re going to look for every single way to improve the team, both externally and internally... I love the puzzle, love the challenge... There’s a price to the longevity we’ve established. We have to keep grinding to make it last longer.”

Presti on review of season & effort to improve. “We’re not looking to be quick. We’re looking to be rigorous. We’re looking to be the same problem-solving group we have been over the years...pretty methodical. We just don’t have the liberty to be momentary problem solvers.”

More Presti. For 70% of the season the team played at “a high level, created an extremely high standard.” For 30% of the year, “we struggled to meet our own standard.”  For that, he says “we are disappointed and frustrated. That’s something we have to own. ”
