Positive in programming, collections & displays are important, as are facilities for foot washing & quiet spaces that can be used by Muslim patrons for prayer. (In public , I've seen study rooms reserved for this purpose.)

Three 🙌🏽 things did to recruit staff representative OF diverse community: 1. Created new Community Program Specialist role that does not require a library degree. 2. Make many jobs bilingual required. 3. Accept that 2 might mean it takes longer to fill jobs.

Yay! We used to make those kinds of cards for people to keep in touch with collaborators after events. We’d offer them for use to any partner who wanted them, with fill-in-the-blank contact info. Many artists and grassroots orgs may not have their own cards.
