Yeah, the editor was talking about ch986 with crying. The wording was confusing and the new editor misspoke with regards to release, but it was 986.

Do you work with Oda? How do you know it can't be 987? the editor said he cried in the last chapter he worked on. Chapter 986 had been delivered

No, it hadn't been released at that time. Do I work with Oda? Sometimes, yes. I mostly work with the editors themselves and promotional teams.

Ok, that's interesting. Do we know what about it made him cry? There were some good moments in the chapter that would make the characters cry but nothing that felt like the reader would cry from it.

My guess would be: Momo's declaration, or the memory of Oden while the Akasaya 9 unite in force. Both are major emotional releases.

People should know better to trust an editor they always go plus ultra on hype for smallest things.

I don't see it as a matter of trust or mistrust. That's how it hit him and he was honest. Without prior knowlege I accurately predicted exactly what it could be and reminded Followers, there's a high chance that could be it. But ppl have a tendency to associate tears w/ death.

Lol Partial mood. Consider that Takano developed the Oden backstory with Oda and that's his legacy. He's lived deep in the heads and hearts of that group in a way only he and Oda can appreciate. But still, on a world scale, the emotional impact is definitely different.
