African penguins are also called black-footed penguins (we'll give you one guess why). They are a signature species at the Aquarium, and a great place to stop and watch a feeding with our expert keepers. 🐧🐧

African penguins are also one of 10 signature species that are a part of the AZA SAFE effort. SAFE (Saving Animals From Extinction) combines the 💪💪 of our visitors, AZA zoos & aquariums, & partners to save animals from extinction.

We partnered with to kick off NYC's Car Free Earth Day! A series of temporary signs from the Aquarium will be installed between Times Square to Union Square, drawing attention to local wildlife and what we need to do to protect it.

My middle school partnered w/ on a program where we came monthly to do tours & activities w/ younger students as a mentor. Now I've spent 8 yrs providing PD to teachers who use what we do w/ their own students. You never know who you will inspire.
