Quite the contrast between the marine layer stratus and the smoke. Winds will continue to steer smoke from the fire away from us. Critical Fire Weather conditions are ongoing so be sure to stay up to date with all of our watches & warnings:

note this satellite has an issue where it causes horizontal bands at night, so switch it to GOES16 if this is obscuring the view overnight

Yes, unfortunately we can not target pinpoint locations with our infrastructure *yet* (it is being worked on tho probably still few years out). We have "zones" that are all or nothing, and this zone is all terrain of North Bay above 1k feet, including coastal Sonoma & Mt Tam.

This is the weakest of the 3 fcst offshore events over the next 7days. It was expected to be primarily focused over NE Sonoma&Napa and only highest elvs. Mt St Helena did hit 44mph & record dry fuels. Power is only selectively off locally near this area:

Day 4 - During a flood, it's important to stay out of flood waters. Flood waters can contain debris, garbage, chemicals, sewage, and aquatic animals. Be sure to also keep pets away and out of flood water.

The marine stratus deck is shallow again this morning but just deep enough to engulf Alcatraz Island. Very localized patchy fog is possible through the sunrise hours near the immediate shoreline, including near Napa airport, Salinas, Watsonville & Half Moon Bay.

Good morning! We may be sleepy, but weather never rests, it keeps on moving. Check out the clouds accompanying a strong jet stream over and the view of coastal stratus and fog is showing up nicely on the morning imagery.

One statement from NTWC indicated impacts mainly expected within 300km from epicenter, which does not include us. The EQ depth was fairly deep and generally we need shallow EQ to roll a tsunami down here. We are still waiting on the official word from NTWC at this time.
