Qualified & accomplished overthinker. Has concrete faith in lipstick, wine and the voices in my head. Her breath gets taken away (literally) often. Breathtaking

A man raped a child, and then wrote her a poem. He was allowed to read it in court. There was a judge, there were lawyers, psychologists and social workers, and no one thought “this child and her mother have already gone through enough”.

When choosing leaders we should look to be led not for a show. We shouldn’t look for “compelling attractiveness” but rather substance, integrity & commitment. It’s sad that an entertainer still appeals more to an African voter, then we wonder why those treat leadership like a game.

He attends get togethers at their house sometimes. He loves it because they are so hospitable and generous. He knows what happens on other days, that’s not his business so why should he decline an invitation to have some fun? This is a good man.

Today he will walk out of his house and greet the man like a brother. Maybe even invite him over for a drink some time while they talk about disrespectful women and racism that’s holding them back as Kings. These are the good men.

The woman probably had to clean herself up and go to work with a smile on her face. When this man sees her with her husband he can see the fear and trepidation on her, he knows why, but he pretends not to notice it. He tells other people what an amazing couple they are.

This is exactly what “not all men” looks like. Exactly this. This is the man who doesn’t abuse women but stands by as it is happening. This is the man that calls himself a good man. This is the man that would like to be excluded from men are trash.
