Some interesting data I've received from the broadcast. Seems like someone broadcasted a little journal. 😃🛰️⚡️

Interesting morning so far. Went to move my laptop running the blocksat receiver to keep it from getting wet from the heavy rain here and happened to check the data I'm collecting from the satellite. Lo and behold there's a message waiting. It felt straight out of Bladerunner.

There was an address but I wasn't sure if it was from the same message since my setup is to just concatenate all of the received data into one big file, so there's no way to tell where one message begins or ends. But. here it is!

Is there a cable distance limit / signal strength requirement that’d prevent you from having the laptop a *lot* further away from the dish? I’ve got an existing unused DirectTV + coax setup at home, coax drops in every room etc. I’m thinking of repurposing it for ₿ satellite 📡

Not sure of the distance limit for the cabling -- might need a signal booster if it's really (like really long, 200+ meters) long. For me it's more laziness + not having holes drilled for the coax cable yet. 🐒

“Wait, how’d he die?” Slipped and took a header off his roof... “Damn. Why was he up there? Christmas lights? That dude sure loved his Christmas lights...” Nope; apparently he was messing with that satellite dish. “Wtf?!? He didn’t even watch TV? Why was he doing THAT?!?”

I think this is it but not certain it's from the same message.

your newsletter needs to be on the blockstream satellite API. I will gladly set up a satellite and pay satoshis to read it
