yeah there's two parts under the anchor. anyhow i'm glad you figured it out. if you want to go back and update the docs that'd be great! otherwise we may end up removing this part since we can't guarantee it'll be up to date (and seems to have fallen out of date already)

one thing that has been really tricky for everyone is the deep linking api, so we have a playground in the docs to help with that. i'd definitely like to see this kind of thing expanded on and maybe integrated into dev tools.

i've never had issues that have required such tooling, and i don't think it is required, i think sometimes people enjoy building tooling like this :)

ah, so you are referring to "If you're working on an existing app that uses an app signing key..." then? it wasn't clear from that link. we might just remove this section from the docs because it's very hard to keep it up to date (we don't ever do it) and it rarely applies

what are you referring to here? the "If you're working on an existing app that uses an app signing key..." section or?

How would you teach React in a way that'd still be relevant in 2030?

that said it's unfortunate that you encountered an error when using `npx react-native init` and it might be worth creating an issue on the repo about it. fwiw this can happen with any framework as there are always edge cases related to a developer's unique environment

ah, that's not as suggested by . see the "Expo CLI Quickstart" tab on the react-native docs. it makes it much easier for people to get started.
