Real questions: are wiccans a live religious tradition and most other very well known religions (the big three abrahamic ones say) dead ones by now, with just dead rituals?

Same. War movies, totally out. Even violent videogames.

As per meltingasphalt.com/personhood-a-g… you can be more or less of a person. A person is an interface that makes interacting with other persons easier. Strive to become more of a person, iteratively, over time.

You feel weak when you're getting stronger, uncomfortable when you're expanding your comfort zone, unimaginative when you're getting more creative, like an idiot when you're getting smarter.

I swear only intellectuals could think mimetic desire is some sort of huge conceptual innovation. Like bro have you literally ever stared at a pair of children or young dogs or cats?

The body has mutually exclusive nervous system states with corresponding motor strategies: Attunment (social emotion, motion, communication), or Threat (run, jump, be in conflict), orFreeze (immbolize, conserve energy, act dead). You’re always in one of them.

Huge mistake I made as a child: not paying attention to noise vs signal. Intaking wayyyyyy too much noise because was too impatient, too restless, always looking at the measure. Getting more measurement error than actual useful measurements of whatever I cared about.

This takes insane amounts of self-trust, surrender, faith, belief. Good luck

Babble and prune is a pretty cool concept from LW (bit.ly/2GRxlZK) but it is in reverse order. Unless you're a baby you already live inside a frame. Which means its much more Shatter (the frame) and Select (a new, previously unseen-able, option). Shatter and Select.

People are very reasonable in not trusting their gut. Why should they, if they never got evidence of it being right? But you need faith to test your theory. Experiment with trusting it and not trusting it. See what happens. Reformulate theory based on that.

My excuse is that everything I've done in life up to this moment has been elaborate conceptual art. What's yours?
