Open source companies fared very well in the 2008 recession. Many grew stronger bc they were the lower cost/high-value options. Vendors that make it easy to use/buy will do well in the current financial fallout, too, bc customers still need to figure out how to deliver value

Yup The impact on OSS companies (Springsource for me) lasted 90 days and then we were back hiring and in fact acquiring other companies
