This is very sad news. Courtney Mykytyn was a courageous advocate for school integration and educational equality. My thoughts are with her family and loved ones.

We had our first call without Courtney today. To grieve and weep and miss her terribly. We know she would have been honored to see this and we thank you so much- your work had a profound impact on her and will continue to guide us as we figure out how to continue

Courtney was so amazing & your work was such a huge influence on her (& all of us who participated in integrated schools) My favorite IS bookclub was the one where we read a selection of your works & jokingly referred to ourselves as the "Nikole Hannah-Jones" fan club

Heart so heavy, thinking of all those Courtney touched through her tireless work to engage white parents in critical and race consciousness, by rethinking our individual choices for our children and thus reshape education; for her family; for all the lives she was yet to impact.

Get to see you from afar but CEM I got to see up close. An advocate but also a neighbor and community partner who was quick to say, "Let's figure it out over coffee... or a drink." Thanks for acknowledging her & her fam.

Courtney was courageous indeed, and she was very inspired by your writing and work and grateful for how much you have done to shed light on this issue. She would be honored to read these words. And we will all continue to work together in her honor.
