I’ve heard so much of this ‘the crazies WANT Russia to retaliate’ stuff. But they act precisely because they’re confident Russia won’t retaliate. They are actually not crazy. They could be deterred in the normal way.

I don’t think ´the crazies actively want Russia to retaliate’. They act precisely because they don’t think Russia will. They’re not crazy.

This, I’m afraid, is true.

1. Russia can't just keep letting these things go. Turkey shot down a Russian plane: US massacred Russian "mercenaries." Every day, some US or UK official denounces Russians in terms more virulent than any used during Cold War.

Not just Israel. France, the UK & the US too. It's open season on Syria.

Let’s be honest. It’s Game, Set and Match to Israel today. They took a great chance in doing what they did last night in - which led to the deaths of 15 Russians in the downed plane, but they look to have got away with it, with no adverse consequences. They’ll bomb again.

I don’t lie, so I can’t say I’m anything but disappointed with Putin’s response to the illegal Israeli air strikes on which led to deaths of 15 Russians. Russia has to tell Tel Aviv, loudly and clearly, ‘Stop Bombing Syria’ . Or else we’ll regard it as attack on Russia.

We see a clear difference in the stance taken by the Russian MoD & Vladimir Putin on the downing of the Russian plane over . Former blames Israel, latter talks of ‘tragic circumstances’. Israel will be very relieved to hear VP’s comments.

You hit the nail on the head Neil. Surprised at the public stance of Putin on this. I hope his private stance is different.

There are certain members of what is known as the political class who are devoid of anything remotely reminiscent of a human soul.Their lack of empathy facilitates only one conclusion - They are sociopaths.

Yes, because international law is so unimportant & Israel should be able to break it with impunity....

I’m sure Jeremy is appalled at Israel’s escalation of the conflict in . But he’ll be told ‘Don’t tweet about it because the news coverage will be: ‘Corbyn accused of anti-semitism as he attacks Israel’. That’s how it works, folks.

It’s 14.06 & despite being active on Twitter still hasn’t condemned illegal Israeli air-strikes on Syria which led to a downing of a Russian plane with 15 deaths. See how the ‘Anti-Semitism crisis’ works, folks? By enforcing self-censorship on Israel & its actions.

All very true & I agree 100%. But how long before expressing such very reasonable sentiments results in a criminal prosecution in the UK? The way we’re going, I’d say less than 5 years.

Satan speaks. Without Russian intervention in ISIS would have taken Damascus, as John Kerry has acknowledged. Is that what you wanted, Satan?
