I made a (new) thing with Aether: Aether Pro. (aether.app) I think it's cool for a bunch of reasons.
The biggest of all, though, um, let me draw you a graph. (#famouslastwords)
If this is your day, you're probably someone who needs to focus. This helps with that. pic.twitter.com/kcArvuNy0s

I suspect you know what I'm talking about if you're a software developer, a designer, or PM.
Now imagine you have a team of people suffering from this. How much productivity do you lose to that? 5%? 50%? Probably something in between.
So the end goal would be like this: pic.twitter.com/Ciye4jQsyr

It's crappy, right? But that's what we do to each other every day on Slack.
It's like traffic: you don't get stuck in traffic, you *are* the traffic.
So we took a saner approach to all this: and built our way up from email, and email groups as our base model.

Imagine how cool it would be if your 65-email 9-person email thread could surface what's important, and tell you who responded to what. So that's what we do. That alone cuts down on the noise *drastically*.
This is way, way better than text chat if you're 5+ people. pic.twitter.com/JNEQBvRgbh

We aren't even open for sign-ups yet, but we've been testing this privately for the past few months. It's a pretty cool little thing.
If you want access for your team, please DM me so we can figure out what your pain points are.
Might help you out too: getaether.net/pro/docs/is_it…

So that's the thing. Now, rest assured, Aether P2P isn't going anywhere. In fact, Aether Pro pays for Aether P2P under its 'marketing' budget. That's the only kind of marketing I can stomach, really. That is, to be able to say: If you like Aether, check Aether Pro out.
