Point is it’s a tough sport. The potential to get hurt is high. Doing the sport already puts you at risk. If an adult wants top prevent cauliflower ear it should be their choice.

How to prevent someone from getting hurt in wresting: don’t wrestle. Otherwise it is a risk one must be willing to make. The stream of thought is that a individual has the right to to put themselves at risk. If they so choose. Which is why I believe it should be optional.
