Dear members of the media, If you are using this Ukraine story to breathe life into a discredited attack on Joe Biden, you have learned nothing from the Trump era or the handling of Hillary's emails. You are hurting the republic. Sincerely, America

Ukrainians were upset they couldn’t get POTUS meeting & lost hundreds of millions in foreign aid. POTUS & Rudy delivered a message: Probe Biden and matters that help us. Aid and meetings have returned. Giuliani says Ukraine has promised to look into it.

"If you're an African American family listening to Joe Biden say, 'Well, black people don't know how to take care of their kids. They don't know what to do and they need help and turn on the record player.'... That's far more offensive than what Castro did." ~

If loses the nomination to one of his progressive rivals, reports that “an organic effort by younger black voters — concerned about Mr. Biden’s age and more moderate ideology — to sway their older family members” may be the reason.

Something to add here is that the Democrats in a position to flip the Senate — AZ, CO, ME, NC — do not support Sanders or Warren on health care. They’d be in sync w Biden, but they’d run as moderate “checks” on a left wing top of ticket.

WFP director Maurice Mitchell said. “You don’t defeat the moderate wing of Democrats through thought pieces or pithy tweets, you defeat their politics through organizing.” Mitchell is correct here — which makes the choice of Warren baffling.

Real WFP quote from endorsement of : “You don’t defeat the moderate wing of Democrats through thought pieces or pithy tweets, you defeat their politics through organizing.” Thanks for letting me know that you consider me the real enemy here. Super helpful.

Split is more generational than racial (Hakeem Jeffries being a notable exception, but he's part of House Democratic leadership). More significantly, controversies are actually "fueled" by Biden's awkward way of describing prior legislative skill to today's diverse electorate.

I know Rep. Meeks, he is going to sell how those people away from South Jamaica Queens are hating on the brothers and sisters rooting for Biden. It will play well.

I imagine folks like Max Rose, Gregory Meeks, Eliot Engel, Carolyn Maloney, Grace Meng will soon be in the Biden camp. Hakeem Jeffries, Yvette Clarke, Adriano Espaillat go for Kamala. Jerry Nadler, Nydia Velazquez, Jose Serrano endorse Warren. AOC opts for Bernie.

Interesting Bernie-Warren divide emerging among New York City progressives. Will also be fascinating to see which local Dems go Biden. (And maybe Harris, others)

With media like this, Biden is in a hole “Despite Biden’s swelling poll numbers with black voters, we don’t have to trust him. In fact, the former vice president should do the honorable thing after that disgrace of a debate and remove himself from contention for the nomination.”

Shocking. Twitter seems like the loneliest place for Biden fans. A significant portion of the Dem base has a favorable opinion of Biden, but they are treated like captives waiting to be rid of him. Little concern about alienating his fans. Might be taking their votes for granted

Though the whiteness of the early primary states is a favorite talking point for progressives, it is that state order that gives them the best shot of dislodging Biden's vice grip on black votes, and thus breaking the nomination process open
