This is so cool. I was always underwhelmed by how awkward is it to explore a big blob of clojure data.

We haven't really evolved for coexisting in such large groups where the benefits would outweigh the costs

To create a custom search engine for Firefox, it's enough to create a bookmark with a placeholder in Location field, and a keyword.
Here we're using ddg's variant of I'm Feeling Lucky (starting the query with a backslash) to search CLHS:

As we've learned from the Plague Inc game, it's more beneficial for the virus to lay low for a while, to allow itself to spread, so high initial lethality is not particularly in concert with that
It's also very reassuring how seriously the threat is taken this time around

What are the drivers for using fossil fuels other than it being the most suitable solution to a problem?
What is the driver for stopping the use of fossil fuels besides it no longer being the most suitable solution to a problem?

= "Do you prioritize the survival of humanity over personal freedom / government model?"
Given how there's no scientific evidence for the free will (which limits the usefulness of personal freedom in my eyes) or moral superiority of any government models, I say choose humanity.

Perhaps some of the people who advocate reading books as a necessity feel this way because they did not read as kids

OH. MY. GOD. I wish I had known this years ago....
#PROTIP: If you want to select text from the middle of a link's text, hold down alt while you drag and select with the mouse. Instead of "grabbing and dragging" the whole link, it'll act just like normal text and let you select. pic.twitter.com/LevOhcM3qN

Also, because most kids born today are from poor, low-education, religious environments, it's somewhat of a civil duty to make kids, even disregarding the population collapse.

Families naturally start making less kids when there's more trust in the safety nets. Population collapse is a real problem, and the only real hope is to outpace it with technology advancements.

The community being an expression of a particular idea, the incestuous part is not so much that there are many carriers of this idea, but rather that they are incentivized to recite it to each other, both by digital and neurochemical means, and disincentivized to challenge it.

Subreddits are organized by common interests and values. Which, I mean, they're not all that bad, but there's something incestuous about quantified positive feedback when leaving out the relative outsiders.
