Finally saw TRANSIT and it *wrecked* me. How lucidly, movingly, Petzold renders both the real & the existential aches of displacement. It’s an extraordinarily tender film, brimming with myth & poetry & pain. Wish I’d seen it earlier; it would have changed my 2018 lists entirely.
