Why celebrate black holes on Nothing Day? Well the gravity of a black hole is so strong that there is an area 22 billion miles across where NOTHING can escape, not even light – that’s the center part of the image that appears dark.

Today is so we are celebrating black holes! In 2019 astronomers coordinated telescopes across the globe to produce the 1st ever image of a black hole & its surroundings (1st pic, 2nd is artist rendition).
