OK, that was pretty fun. First pancake.
I am a bit jetlagged so I cut it short when I started saying things like “I like Elizabeth Warren because Elizabeth does awesome stuff”.

Just 15.7% of Iowa’s voting-eligible population participated in the #IowaCaucuses in 2016.
Even during Iowa’s record-setting turnout of the 2008 elections, it was still just 16.1%.
The low turnout has to do with accessibility: bit.ly/2GWSgKV

I’m off to make phone calls for @ewarren. Calling strangers on the phone causes me more anxiety than anything, but this feels important.
(Now wondering why I chose a profession which often requires talking to strangers on the phone)

So many trendy design activities are like
"How might we…avoid having a difficult conversation about our objectives?"

In many cases, brainstorming ideas puts people in contention for their idea to win (whether or not they admit it) encourages people to become attached to solutions too early, and reinforces the myth of a singular smart person having the lightbulb moment.

That's a great tip.
Brainstorming questions is way better for collaboration than brainstorming ideas. twitter.com/johncutlefish/…

Whatever you think about the people backing Column, you just can't over-determine and top-down architect a social system like that.
It's like a city, the structure of which emerges from the exchanges it facilitates within a social context.

The fact that someone said "every Column has its own Shibboleth" out loud and they kept going. Amaze.

This Column thing is actually a teaser promo for Donna Tartt's next novel isn't it.
Classics majors decided to found an elite social network on the principles of the US federal government…and then the murders began. pic.twitter.com/mp4r9V6kjq

Plus the whole high quality information thing. LOL. Who is going to produce that?
Did they also miss the memo that producing communication is work? Hard work?

Oh wait, no. I read further. This model is actually not a country club. It's Scientology.
"One slide of the deck suggests that the Milken Institute could generate $1.3 billion by emailing its 4,000 wealthy members to ask them to subscribe and invite others to subscribe."
