Netflix auto-playing previews for every single show is one of the most pronounced user-hating experiences online in a while. I get that it helps juice the audience count, but it turns browsing into a game of hot potato.

Solved with a simple ON/Off in settings :)

I need xanax to use that app because of those previews. I honestly don't open it on Apple TV anymore to browse because of them. I search google to see if Netflix has a show/movie, and then make a B-line for it if so.

Yep. It’s a race for me now every time to get to the show I want before the previews kick in (which has the inverse effect on “discovery”)...

I stopped browsing on Netflix and only open it when I know exactly what I’m going to watch.

Wait, is that really what’s happening? Audience count? It’s so annoying.

I think it's clever and enjoy it. Wish there wasn't such a pronounced delay. Why do you dislike it so much, ?

There is a crappy workaround for this. You can turn on parental controls and limit every rating and then they won’t play the previews anymore for shows that are limited but then you have to put in the parental controls pin for every movie you watch
