I agree. Housing, food, and healthcare are basic human rights.
I really hate the “no person who works a full time job should live in poverty” discourse because it should simply be that nobody deserves to live in poverty. We gotta let go of this idea that we work in exchange for worth. People are innately worthy + deserving of the basics

yeah, there is definitely evidence of the opposite, and seen here on TWITTER...it only costs a few million a month to run the software and storage and stuff...the VALUE of the entertainment and education and democracy that is generated here is HUGE and now ADVERTISERS get it.

I cringe when I think a lot of things I did before working at legal aid, but one of the biggest? I regularly used the term "the working poor" as some kind of distinction. Never again!
