doesn't that just make it harder for people to come on board and learn your codebase? If it's a 3rd party framework people at least know where to start looking for things

their job is two parts, getting the listing and helping people looking to rent. They only have to be good at the first part.

I so often get excited about things, but as soon as i take the architect viewpoint i feel lost and my energy and desire goes out the window. The projects i've kept the gardners view on have been my most prolific and loved projects.

“My topic is the shift from 'architect' to 'gardener', where 'architect' stands for 'someone who carries a full picture of the work before it is made', to 'gardener' standing for 'someone who plants seeds and waits to see exactly what will come up’.”

I’m blown away at how successful the end result is. Sometimes lazy is just efficient.

The more i hear about the direction of education the more i want to start a group home-school thing with my friends. Grading essays via algorithm is an absuridity.

I like glitch for one-off art tools and would love it if glitch offered an easy way for the people who use them to create things to share their work back to me, or to the project publicly so ppl could see examples, without having to build that infra myself.

After a couple months of using DDG the only noticeable difference i've found vs google is dealing with serious spelling errors (like spaces in the wrong places, or multiple mistakes). The value of extreme data collection is.. not having to correct your spelling once in a while

Feross was just giving an example about how our idea of compassion isn't the best type of compassion (it would be better to provide bed/safety than just say 'sure camp out whatever') Our cities inability and refusal to prosecute any crimes at all does make our city less safe.

I'm sure it doesn't but it's still dangerous for the digital health of the world for people to be ok allowing that kind of access to third parties.

honestly nothing scales beyond dunbar(s). That's the beginning and end of the problem. Forgiveness in a religious culture also didn't scale beyond dunbar.
